Hey guys, my truck is starting to develop some hard brake pull to the right. I read about greasing up the slides and such but with 150k on the clock I figured I would go ahead and buy new calipers. Would do you think? What is the most reasonable place to buy calipers? Thanks in advance.

Checked out the EGR brake web site and it would appear that they do not yet have upgrade for the 2001. 5's. I did post Email their tech site to enquire.

I am really tired of the crummy front brakes on my 2001. 5 . I have replaced the pads, rotors, lubes the slides, replaced the slides, filed the hard corners of the pads :{ . I think the only real way to fix it is to go to some other caliper arrangement. If EGR cannot do it I will check out Wildwood racing offerings and fabricate the nessary supports to lose the stock calipers.

Same problem on my 99. At about 50K I paid Firestone to do the brakes and paid the extra two hundred or so bucks for the Lifetime Brake service. So far I have had them replace three sets of calipers and about 5 sets of pads for ZERO dollars. Money well spent IMHO.
