Alrigth where can I pick up a good VP for my 99 the thing has 310,000 and am not sure if it has ever been changed? Not really sure on the fuel mileage I think it is getting like 15 according to the overhead? I am also wondering about this 53 block! is it on all 99 or just some?

If you want the lowest price on a VP44, shop eBay. I picked up a Mopar remanufactured unit for under $1000 with no core charge (it's my spare).

But if you want an iron-clad guarantee behind it, you'll probably want to stick with someplace like Midwest Fuel Injection or similar. You may pay a bit more, but if something goes wrong, they'll take care of you.

I bought a vp-44 from Midwest for 1046. 00. Its a spare my originial has 474000kms and still going strong. Also have original 53 block. Look under the injection down near the oil pan on left hand side if you have a 53 it will be there. good luck.

Not all '99s will have a 53 block.

Not all 53 blocks will crack.

It's worth checking to find out if yours has the 53, and check on it periodically if it does.

I bought one from MWFI today, vp44,lift pump, and low fuel pressure light for $1268. They are good people, plus the electronics are new, and have the updated housings.
