Best place to Valve cover gaskets?

Where is the best and most cost effective place to get valve cover gasket for my 97?

Call Dodge, Cummins and your favotrite parts store/mechanic see what they are asking for them. You should get 6 rubber gaskets and 6 O-rings.

I got mine from the service shop I took it to had trouble keeping them from leaking so I did them myself and made sure the bolts were torqued right (tightened enough), this stopped the vavle covers form leaking.

I bought a set at Cummins NW a few weeks ago,and the price I paid was $3. 16 for each gasket.

Make sure you get they grey gaskets. They are the updated ones. They are made out of better material. I paid 3. 79 a piece. I would take you are gonna adjust valve while yer at it too.

In 192,000 miles I only replaced the gaskets once. The o-rings must be replaced everytime. Try doing just the o-rings. If they leak you can easily swap the problem gasket. Thats the beauty of separate covers! Make sure you clean everything up really well before you crack the covers.
