Back in Sepember I bought a set for $164 a piece... . The best price I have been able to find so far is $197 a piece... . Does anyone know of a better deal out there?

John :D

I cant help you on your 315's but I cant beleive the markup on tires.

I got a set of 235-85R-17s for 132. 00 a peice. these were factory Generals.

These same tires at Discount Tire were $210. 00. I told them they were smoking crack. Luckily they have argreed to match the price I got on my last set. This tire business is a racket if I ever hvae seen one.

If you are talking about the BFG AT, I heard from a friend at the tire store that they were actually discounted heavily last summer because of a huge overstock of H2 replacement tires, at least the black wall ones were.

I would tell you to buy online, but it hardly saves you anything by time you get them shipped, mounted and balanced. Your price is actually the best I have seen.

I was not able to find any of the fantastic H2 takes off or any really good deal on the BFG 315/70R/17 A/Ts last July when I had them put on.

I paid $193. 99 each mounted and balanced from 4WheelParts. They matched the best price I could find locally.

I also bought the full road hazard replacement/repair $20. 00 each. Had a 3" screw in one about a week later. Had fixed and rebalanced no charge.

These tires are just to hard for an old man like me to handle easily, so I make sure that I have someone else to do it for free.

They weren't really takeoffs. BFG made too many thinking guys would just replace worn out tires. It turns out a lot of H2 owners like the look of 22-24" wheels/tires so they discounted them to bring down inventory levels. They were black walls only. I saw them on tirerack.com as low as $149. 99 when looking for my Jeep TJ. I bought my CTD in December. When I checked again, they were $198.

The positive is that H2 wheels can be purchased for next to nothing, bored out and installed on our trucks.

FYI -- If you're not in a hurry, 4wheelparts does a buy "3 get 1 free" deal 3-4 times a year on BFG tires.

talked to nebraska tire, all tires have an ice pick hole in side wall, they were repaired, but i don't like a plug in the side wall,126. 00 25. 00 shipping about 50. 00 cheaper but you still need mounting and balance.
