Best price on Jacobs engine brake

Howdy all



Been looking around for the jacobs kit for my 03 3500 CTD SO Dually QC Ram.



Best price I have found yet was $1060.



The kit I would need (far as I tell) is 82208277



If anyone has a hookup for a better deal, let me know. My brakes would appreciate it

I saw a post on DTR about a dealer that was selling what they had in stock[ 6 at the time] for $700 2 days ago .

The 6 exhaust brakes are for sale on eBay.



FYI, a true Jake brake like on the big rigs are different from the exhaust brake available for our truck from Jacobs. Both do the job but the sound is different on the big rigs due to the different mechanical operations.



The Jake exhaust brakes on eBay are for the 04. 5 and up 325/600+ engine. If you use them with a 03-04 engine, a different downpipe, cat delete pipe, and muffler will be needed. That means it is an excellent time to upgrade to the MBRP!!!

I bought an 06 truck on 12-10 and got the brake for 1000 out the door from the salesman I dealt with. This way I could put it in with financing the truck.

Out the door - kinda like over the counter? How much would they have charged for it to be installed?

The sales manager said it was a 4-5 hour job. I did not ask the installed price. At their labor rate it would be expensive.

I bid on the ones on ebay yesterday and they dealer canceled the auction with little explanation. that's ok though, i think i am going to go with the pac brake anyways. much better warranty.
