Competition Best pulling upgrades

I was wondering what the best/most important upgrades are in building a puller? What are the best bang for the buck upgrades? What will show and give the best result and power gains? What have you guys had the best results with?

Also, are there any parts or items you have tried with little to no results. Dont have alot of extra cash to just throw around.

Ladder bars, clutch, with the 370s and the 215 pump you could probably get a turbo next.

I have custom JR Adkins injectors, Jr's Lil' 55 turbo, cut DV's, 25* timing, southbend DD clutch. Ladder bars and weight rack already in the works. Also have 4GSK, but am upgrading to 5k and bigger valve springs.

sounds like you are going to have to upgrade the head studs. also where did you get the turbo and injectors.

Can you define, custom is a really broad term.

WIth the lil 55 do you think you need the 5000 rpm?? It will only move so much air.

I know i am going to quickly outgrow the turbo it seems. What would you guys recomend for a turbo then? I want to be able to stay in the "street" class. So i cant run a 3 in inducer i dont believe. Maybe run a 2. 8 and an adapter to make it 2. 5? Not sure what thats called. The adapter i mean. And what other ideas suggestions do you guys have?



The injectors, I have no idea on the size. They are what JR used to run in his pulling truck, "Green Machine". Not sure if any of you know of it or have seen it? They move a lot of fuel. Was thinking of getting some diesel dynamics tho maybe? They sound like pretty good stick? Or do you know of a better choice?

If your running the 2. 5 class then I don't know how much bigger you want to go. I don't know if you really need 5000 rpm though for a 2. 5 charger.
