Need camper tie down suggestions

lifting my 5vr trailer

I'll be towing my 39' toyhauler 5er from Buffalo, NY to Florida this month and wondered what would be the best route in the winter ? I originally was going to take rte 79 south @ Erie, Pa but am concerned about the mountains in West Virginia if icy. Any suggestions ? Thanks for your imput.

I usually head out of Binghampton on the interstate 81 and somewhere around ,Front Royal Va. hang a left over to 95.

Gonna run into some serious hills though.

Thats my route from Burlington, Vt. down. Few extra miles but it keeps me out of tolls and traffic.

You from Buffalo NY and worried about a little snow and ice. :-laf

If you are worried just go to New York City and pick up I 95 South

and go on down to the sun shine state.

You can run 79 south to 19 south to 77 at beckley WV and work your way

over to I 95 but there are some mountains. That is the way I ran from Va

to Canada and back.

We go down 77 from Akron Ohio through WV every year hauling to Florida for bike week and never had any problems with snow or ice. Don't be scared!

We rode down a few years back.

Was a COLD but nice ride down there.

Rained the entire ride back till we hit WV. :{

Then it snowed the rest of the way!

:--)

get down to Binghampton hit 81 south then in va take 66 east till you can caatch 17 south and that will bring you to 95 here in fredericksburg. i used to live in upstate new york and have run those roads for years.

I would take 90E to 390

390 to 86E-all the way to Corning.

Get on 15S to 83S in Harrisburg

83S to 695E Baltimore

695E to 95S in Baltimore

95S into Florida. Not many hills that way. It is not the most direct, but is not a bad haul with a trailer.

If road conditions are a concern I would definitely make a beeline for 95 and the east coast where trouble from snow and ice will be minimum.
