Best Source for 4WD Front Hubs?

Hello All,



I am looking for the best source to purchase a front hub for my 93, W250, 4 wheel drive, single rear wheel? I see a lot of knock off parts on the internet but I am reluctant.

Lockout hubs

I have used the factory hubs and the Warn hubs. The factory hubs are quick and easy to operate with a short turning arc. I just dont like the plastic parts and the sticky labels used to identify the position of the hub. The Warns are easy to read but require silicone lube regularly to work easy in cold weather. They can be a PIT*, especially if you have artheritis. They must turn about 270* to engage or disengage. Warns are available through most any anto parts outlet, even through mailorder. They do have a "lifetime warranty". The spring retainer is a real butt to remove and install. GregH

Totally agree with you on the locking portion of the hub and appreciate your response. What I am looking for is the actual hub, the portion that receives the bearing races. Any info would be great.

Other than a Dealer or a truck junk yard? Getting those junk yard desk jockeys to come up with the applications listings, that is the trick.



Dan at; QUAD 4 x4 , is another good source of information. He is good people to talk to.



I looked at; Dodge Parts Online Parts & Accessories Catalog and they had no listings for the hub. Hope this helps. GregH

my 92 has mile marker hubs. They are what are considered premiums and have stainless bodies. They were also cheaper that all other warn#'s

Dclassens - Fortunately my Warn locking assemblies are still in great shape but I appreciate the info on an alternative.

Greg - Thank you for the connection to Dan at Quad 4x4. I purchased a good used assembly at a reasonable price. Came with new Timken bearings to boot! Shipping a hub/rotor assembly from Montana to New Jersey hurts a bit but still very pleased!
