Best I remember it was in Virginia, when you are on the entry ramp of a freeway just before you hit the main road there is a sign "No left turns". bg

Found on the directions for my "Round-up" Herbicide sprayer!

Don't put the spray nozzles in your mouth!!

Harbor Freight jack stands

In the manual for Harbor Freight 6 ton jack stands it states "Warning! Never crawl under the vehicle when supporting it with Jack Stands".

If they sold ladders would they have a label stating "do not climb this ladder under any circumstances"?

As an addendum to the jack stand warning, it also states "maintenance should be performed regularly by a qualified technician". I guess I'll have to look in the yellow pages for a "jack stand technician"!

I noticed one day, years into owning it, my wife's old Pontiac Transport had a warning label on the door jamb, it said, "Warning watch head while closing door. " (The window frame of the door had a sharp angle towards the back of the van. ) I commented to her how stupid the label was because who would be stupid enough to put there head in the way of the door. I was so distracted by the label that I proceeded to close the door striking myself in the head. I guess those "stupid warning labels" have a purpose sometimes.

This and the maintenance one are some of the funniest ones I have seen. I had to go check it out for myself, luckily HF has all their manuals online.

Sadly, I couldn't find the statements in the 6-ton jack stand manual:

However, both statements are in the 3-ton aluminum jack stand manual:

Safety warning #14 for the maintenance one.

And, this first warning under the operation section for the crawling under vehicle one.

Those are just awesome!! :-laf

Posted in the shipyard office building we were working out of for a while in Shanghai was the following emergency procedures sign:

(I particularly enjoyed the English translation for #'s 4, 6, & 7).

In the State of Ohio, a full sized YIELD sign has been placed under the cross-bucks at all R/R crossings. Think about it!!! We need to be TOLD that we must yield to a 100 ton steel monster!!

I was told this was because of numerous accidents involving trains and new drivers.

If they can't understand what the R/R crossing sign (cross-bucks) is, how the hell are they going to comprehend what the yield sign is all about?????

I deify anyone to out do this one..... :-laf
