Ahem. It just so happens, (what a coincidence), that I do know of a number of great mexican restaraunts her it the Central CA. area. So, the bribe is still on. (Insert raspberry sound here). Besides, my wife is an excellent cook and can whip up some great grub on a moment's notice, (if required).
Actually, Bill owes me dinner (due to a bet he lost last weekend at the Diesel Thunder In Spokane rally). After defeat was imminent, Bill got several of my friends to conspire against me ... then he invoked the McDonald's ploy , followed by the Happy Meal rendition of a "buy dinner" deal . Friends! I think Piers straightened him out though. Anyway, I told Bill I wanted to go to the place he kept bragging about that has "the best" Mexican food anywhere he has ever eaten... in Bellingham, WA. (of all places). What the heck, works for me.
..... somehow I can't get over the feeling that I will somehow end up with the tab though.
John i ate at that resturant will bill ,shanti , massdiesl and laserbob , my treat ... good eatings ...
as far as comparing the different products on the market , if a transgo kit is not installed properly it will be the most ill shifting thing you will ever do to your auto trans .
have driven both a pro torque extreme , and the new BD X stator , both with properly setup for application DTT valvebodies ( the protorque also HAD a transgo VB with it ) neither are as good as the DTT 89, 91 , never mind the 93% TC ...
also drove a suncoast with a BD VB . still not better
ya i know install DTT , but i'm not biased . really ...
AS you might know... Bill is likley to come down to Tulare for the Pulls/Drags/etc in Oct... . I'm sure he'll stick with Mexican after that last Chinese dinner I bought him.....
Simply put, you can't get the TC efficiency by milling the stock stator. That's why DTT's is more efficient, no matter what the advertisements say. Drive one if you get the chance. Night and day difference.
I spoke with Bill K. yesterday (Monday) and he told me he had shipped my tires, and that I should look in my miniscule mail box for them!
Seriously, though. I told him we were goin' Salmon fishing this weekend and (if I heard correctly, my cel phone $uck$), he actually invited us up to CANADA when we get enough time for some REAL salmon fishing.
Bill's right! The only place on earth with better salmon fishing than B. C. is Alaska!
BTW, I talked to Bill yesterday and it sounds more and more like I'm going to have to bite the bullit and buy him dinner ... even though I DID WIN THE BET!
Well, if Bill can find his way down to Tracy while on his way from Yuba City to Tulare, I might be able to provide him with the name of a Great Mexican Restaraunt.
Well John (Mopar-muscle), it simply means, how can I win the bet yet still have to buy Bill dinner... loser buys dinner. . that was the deal. Hence, how does that work????
