I’m on my ninth set of tires since 98. I switched to 19. 5 for better wear and I get 3 or 4 times the wear out of them compared to 16” tires. I just installed the best all around grip tire to date. They are 245-70-19. 5 Michelin XDE-MS. I used road force balancing and then put about 5 ounces of counter balancing beads in each tire. Very low noise, no bounce at any speed and great ride. The only thing I do not know yet is how many miles I’ll get out of them.

Thanks for the info. I'm headed for 19. 5's as well but I'm thinking 285's and Yokahama TY-303's. I'm not sure those will have enought traction to satisfy me. How are they for picking up rocks?
