Ive got a 97 4x4 thats just starting to wander a bit.

Whats the best trac bar? 03 upgrade?

What do you think of the luks link

Are those the best frontend upgrades we can do for the 97 4x4?

I went the 3rd gen trackbar route and have been happy with it. Took out about 1/2 of the play I had in the steering. I have also read a LOT of good things about the Thuren track bar.

I did the Solid Steel 3rd Gen trac bar and DSS brace on mine this summer. They were the best money on my front end I have ever spent. The truck drives straight as a arrow and is a pleasure to drive again. I liked it so much when I went back I added their lower control arms. The truck drives so nice when you get in you just want to ride and not get out. I stuck a few pics in my readers rig area in with the Fluidampr stuff for others a while ago to see in another thread like this... . Andy

I'll second that on my previous rig, the 99 Half-ton. It was wandering severely until I did the 3G trackbar and DSS. Wasn't perfect afterward, but at 175,000 miles, what is. Extremely improved the problem.

I am going to give Rip at source automotive my coin for DSS and 3rd gen conversion and Trackbar after the new year. :D

I had Thuren's bar on my '01 and just ordered one for the '95. Good price and it works really well. The DSS is also worth the money. I'll be getting another one of those next.

The 3rd gen bars are also a great upgrade. Either way, you'll be happy.

I just pulled a DSS from a used truck I am selling and I don't see the point. I can't really see the frame/gear box flexing that much to make a diff. Of all the poeple that sing the praises of them has any one ever added JUST the DSS and noticed a difference? Or is every one changing trac bars at the same time?
