I have read about the need for traction bars. I can't keep a set of spring clamps on the rear leaf packs. They all break of within a week due to axle wrap. I desperately need a set on my truck. I'm tempted to build a set, however, I'd rather get a set that is already proven to work good. Iv'e seen in a few posts that some people have stated certain problems with certain traction bars. I can't seem to find any brand name or part #'s that are proven to be good. There only seem to be a few different sets out there. I'm not really impressed with a couple of them. I don't want to mention names as to not influence feedback. I could really use some advice here fellas.

What do you run and do you like them?

Are they worth the money invested?

Would it be better to make my own?

TDR member Rob Thomas (Michigan Diesel Performance) sell's a set that A LOT of member's here have, and sing praise's off. His are also sled pull proven.

Do a search under the "discussion forums" bar at the top reguarding traction bars and you will have plenty to read about.

There is also currently a group purchase going on Rob's bars until the 21st I believe.
