So maybe with a valet. Cuts the fuel for egt problems pulling the big hills.

Will depend on the turbo and the engine RPMs. If you don't have enough fuel to spool it sufficiently, the EGTs may still be hot.

I have been away for awhile. I tow 12k-13K behind the truck. If I didn't have 3. 54 gears 285/75r16 tires I would have zero issues. 5th gear I can do anything I want. It is only in 6th gear below 2000. Below 2000 in 6th as long as the road is flat egt is about 1150, once I hit a hill it climbs to about 1300 or so. Nothing alarming, but I am sure if I were to climb a long run like this I could see some issues. This charger moves plenty of air, once it is above 2000 in 6th I can hold it to the floor as long as I want and the egt's are back around 1150, and the MPH can approach 90. I have sold the charger off of the truck since I was deciding to trade it in. I have talked to paul at HTT about a custom charger. Last time I talked he said he could do it.

whats the rule of thumb that for each size bigger housing... you drop 75* or so. . I have used a 16cm ported housing and a 14cm non gated and also a gated housing... . If you are running stock injectors or no more than 215s. . a 14cm housing should be fine... Even with 215s and a #10 plate I would see 900* on flat ground towing 12k 5th wheel... With this combination I tried the ported 16cm housing and the temps would go up fairly quickly. .

When I built my twins... instead of a 14cm housing on the PDR HX35... I used a 12cm housing so that it would spool things quicker on the bottom end. Now my cruising temps are in the 700* range, boost is 10lbs or so...

Nice combination for towing...
