Need to replace oil pan gsk on 93 w250,would it be practical to drop the front axle and spring assy out?I understand that the pan wont drop out as it sits. 1993 dodge c/c w250 dually,3. 5 exhaust, bostrum air ride seats,Jacobs exhaust brk,pre-lube pmp,12spd manual transmission.

Don't believe that the cross member is removable, pictures in the manual has the cross member rivetted to the frame. (see section 13) My manual indicates the engine needs to be removed to take off the pan. Have removed pans on cars by removing engine mounts and lifting engine up enough to clear the pan. If you try this make sure the engine is well supported, before working on the bottom side. Possible clearance problems, at firewall and transmission tunnel, helps to have a few extra pairs of eyes when the engine is lifted.

I'm with Mike, lets hear more about the 12 speed!! I know, thats not what the post is about, but I doubt my auto is going to hold up for long with the upgrades.
