Hey guys-

Got my gauges laying around, i'm putting in a 2 gauge pod with dipricol boost and EGT. They are both mechanical with 3 small bulbs needing to come on only at night when other gauge lites are on. what is the most common way people install the gauges on these trucks? I'm doing a brite box sport headlight conversion to take the load off the switch. Can I just run the wire into the back of the headlight switch for the 2 gauges? Let me know what everyone is doing around here

I just used a Little-fuse "Add-a-Circuit". Put it into the slot for the dash lights. It will dim the gauge lights with the dash lights. Worked great. :D Used one of the screws under the dash for the ground.

I did the same as BM, works fine. Make sure you get the one for the smaller blade fuses if you go that route, they make 'em in two sizes.

any pics of the add a curcuit? I can't think of it in my brain right now, haha. Well anyways, you basically spliced into the dash lights?

Erik

Perfect thanks. So i guess you crimp bolt the dash lights and gauge lights into that butt connector and plug everything back into the original fuse?

Erik

Just the gauge lights crimp into the add-a-circuit, the dash lights still work off the factory connection. I ran 1 wire from the add-a-circuit to under the dash, then joined all the gauge light connections there, the fuse panel area is tight space.

I just ran a wire from the factory dimmer behind the radio when I had it out. The aftermarked radio has no dimmer, so I ran the wire up to the pillar. It works just like the others have mentioned, but theres may be easier.
