Beta 555 Juice W/Attitude! 454.8 HP!

Edge Products sent Cody to BD Dyno Days this last weekend with a "New Beta 555 Juice W/Attitude" for me to try out. :)



Last year when I dynoed at BD, I had a AirAid intake and a 51" Nelson muffler, that was it. I dynoed 250. 7 HP.



I put a B1-2-04 on this last January and have been running a EZ. When Aaron from Edge told me he was sending the 555 Juice W/Attitude he asked be to dyno it without the EZ. So when Cody and I hooked it up we removed the EZ.



Cody and I took a test drive to get it setup and Cody asked me if it felt any different from my other beta. I told him it was hard to tell, since I haven't had it for 9 months, but I thought it was about the same, but alot smoother. (With the beta I had from May to the end of July of 2004, I dynoed 382. 9 with it. )



I let Christian from BD run the Ghost Rider, figured he was familiar with his dyno and would get more HP out of it than myself, someone started talking with me and I missed the peak numbers, I saw 415 or 418, Christian says to me while letting the truck idle down, "How do you like those numbers?", I said what was it 415 or 418? He said no, 454. 8 HP! :eek: That surprised me!



This means, with the B1 and Edge's Beta Juice w/Attitude it was a 204. 1 HP increase over spring of last year (2004) when I dynoed at BD!



Here is the dyno sheet: (ignore the torque numbers, they are not correct, BD didn't hook up the sensor for torque)

After the run, Cody told me that there was still more they can get out of the Juice! Oo. Oo.



From my understanding, Edge is hoping to have the 555 Juice available the end of May! :D

I have the formula for the torque, I just have to see what rpm the engine is turning at 63 MPH (max torque according to the dyno sheet), then I should be able to figure it.

When Cody and I took it out for a test run, at WOT, 100 MPH, I could not get them over 1200 degrees. Now, after leaving BD, I did break 1200 but not by much.

As much as I love EDGE products, if that's all you've got in mods on your truck then there is no ... ... ..... way those are good numbers unless it is a HOT your testing. I BETA tested for EDGE for 5 months and with that 100hp box that really does probably 120 hp your still a long way from any 450+ HP. I've got mine stacked with a EZ and you can see in my sig 430+ HP and that's on a 600 with other mods. I'm sure you reporting accurately from what you know on that box, but something isn't right.

Obviously it's a "Hot" Juice. That's what I told them to send me. However, when I talked to Aaron before I received the box, he wasn't sure what it was. :D
 
Big Bob, here and on DTR both, you have made it sound like this was with the regular 555 'juice' and not the hot juice. Glad you finally clarified...



I still think it's pathetic that edge has jerked the 305/555 guys around as long as they have, and wouldn't give it a try for that reason alone. Not to mention the fact they make you buy their monitor if you want all the power levels. .

got the truck in feb 03 and was told by Aaron next month, :-laf yeah right here it is april,late at that, 05. I used to say good things about them.
 
I believe I have seen this post before, BETA is out, production unit will be out in another month. :D . I think it was January 04... Too Late...

Those are great numbers, I'm going to call Aaron and ask to reburn my to the Hot version. . Guess its time for the clutch upgrade too.

Regarding your statement above, here are a couple thoguhts to chew on. No doubt the buys beta testing the 555 Juice for many months have thought,. . "Man his thing rocks and why don't they just bring it out!!" Well someone is having a tweeking problem and until it works for all then it's not good enough. To me, that's the kind of product I want on my truck. I was a beta tester on the 600 and and that's exactly how it went there and I'm certain it's that way on the 555.



On the part of your comment about not getting all the power unless you have the Attitude,... think about it. They know the affect of the power when you don't have defueling precautions, ... . transmission pressure precautions,... boost precautions,... . egt control precautions. See where I'm going? It's not about they need to make an extra buck on the Attitude and love seeing you be pi... ed off cause you don't have the full meal deal, it's about making sure the product SAFELY provides your truck with what it can use. Hope this helps this otherwise clouded issue. :D

I wa also a beta tester for the 600, and I went though 5 boxes until I got a clean-no code posting unit. Makes sense to get them 100% before shipping out to full paying customers.

Thanks for the example about what I'm referring. I too beta tested for 5 or 6 months, and on only one box did I have codes. You on the other hand had codes on 5 boxes. That's the whole deal here as these trucks are not all the same and what works on one with a certain programming is not the panacea for all of them. That's the issue and why it takes tweeking to get it right for all of us. Tks. :D
 
I love my jucie/additude for my 600 no problems yet except graping traction in level 5 will spin tires to 4 th gear and its not even the hot version all I need know is an ez I wished i could have kept the one I had for a loner

Sorry for the confusion. Didn't mean to do that.



When I talked to Aaron, he told me that they didn't have time to throughly test the Juice before they sent it to me to try, and wasn't sure what kind of power it was going to make. I didn't have any ideal what it was going to do. It sure got a lot of people's attention at BD Dyno Days! Oo.
 
That's it, I'm sending my unit back to edge for the hot edge unit. .



geez, now I need a clutch and possibly twins. . when will it all end?
