Just wanting to know which yall liked better, the AFE or the Scotty air intake systems? I am trying to pick between the two.

I havent tried both of them out, mainly because I havent needed to. I love my AFE system. Living here in AZ (tons of dust) the turbo inlet still looks clean as a whistle and the tube has never had any residue in it. If you get the AFE system with the Torque Tube, you wont regret it. By the way, welcome to TDR!

Have not used the Scotty system, but sure either will do better air flow than stock. I am satisfied with the afe systems I have installed.

WObrian,

I too have been looking and was thinking about the BHAF sold by Greg at Desert Racing Concepts, check it out huuuge surface area and with the cover it is water resistant.

Got a link?

Afe

JRD,

I, also, have the AFE PG-7 system on my truck & live in the NW Phoenix area (dusty desert).

On my last oil change, I had an oil sample tested & was especially curious about the silicon level in the oil. It turned out to be just fine which tells me that the PG-7 is working in our hostile environment.

Just thought you would like to know.

I have AFE Stage 2 with PG-7. Easy install. Looks good... ... Sounds great. I have noticed slight improvement in MPG and quicker turbo spool up.
