Last night I did a 3 hour drive on a four lane highway (2 lanes each way) I was travelling probably 130kms/hr @ 2100 rpm. Now I haven't done any refil and calculations yet but based on what they fuel guage shows me I swear that my truck got better mileage at this rpm than it usually does at say 1750 - 1800 rpm. Can this be right? From what I've read the most efficient rmp ranges are usually between 1600 and 1800.

comments anyone??

I wouldn't put too much stock in the fuel gauge. You really need to fill up and calculate it. The gauges on these trucks are not the best. Mine recently decided to recalibrate itself and now reads a little lower then it used to making it look like I'm getting bad mileage when I'm not. I did the fuel sender fix months ago but might have to get a new one after all some day.
