Purchased 6/09, $59. 99, miles @ 178k. 3/10, miles @ 185k - there's less than 1/32nd of material both inner/outer pads, both sides.

I don't tow or stop quickly. #@$%!

Only thing I was saying is the last guy I know that bought auto zone pad's ended up replacing roter's also after they ate them up within a month .

I have always had good service from NAPA pads. I would not recommend ceramics to anyone, too hard and wear the rotors much faster.

You're right ... the Mopar "Value Line" IS junk, but the oem "premium pads" are clearly excellent, though they do cost ALOT.

I wonder how much the Monroes are??

I can't remember specifically, but the pads, rotors, brake fluid, and misc stuff like never-seize and caliper bushings to complete all four brakes (including the purchase of a vacuum bleeder) came to under $500 IIRC. The Monroe's are holding up well considering I've hauled/towed (small trailer without brakes) quite a bit lately... and they seem to bite as well as the OEs did.

Considering I was putting front brakes on my 99 every 30k; if I have to put $500 in brakes every 100k, I'd be happy... anything else is bonus.

I'm curious why I never hear anyone talking about the Performance Friction carbon-metallic pads any more. Just a few years ago those seemed to be the best pads hands-down.

Performance Friction here. Excellent. I rate those higher then the OEM pad that came with it, but it's just my opinion.
