I have had vibration and shudder problems since this truck was NEW. I have had it at blaine dodge several times they Never did fix it . So today I was moving my trailers and truck would not turn, and when it did it hop and jump and made a terrible noise. Made it to blaine dodge. Deny warranty, even on a TSB BECAUSE THEY SAID I HAD ENGINE MODS I . Which had nothing to do with this problem I have had several Rams working under the same conditions and never a problem,Call DC {in their service dept} DC said to drive to a different dealer,I said truck is not drive-able,DC said they would send a tow truck. THIS IS WHEN THE **--T HIT THE FAN... . RI-H the service manager said to move truck out of service area,I would not and since you deny warranty DC is coming to get it. RI-H the service manager started to dial the blaine police,I said GO FOR IT I WOULD LIKE A POLICE REPORT THAT YOU ARE DENYING WARRANTY. Than he hung up the and than did the words started flying .

Finally I left dealership, and went to forest lake dodge ,Drive system has to be completely replace. The way I understood was a complete new drive system . Including ujoints and drive-line everything.

The new drive systems must be having problems because their is over 600 ujoints nationally on back order truck has 30k ,DC is taking care of the entire bill including rental. Blaine dodge service Dept is trying not to cover warranty and trying to charge owners $85. 00 hour labor plus parts. {I have deleted all my posts concerning them} I will never go back to them again or until they change the service manager.

Blaine dodge service is just looking for ways to get out from doing warranty work when they are busy{ and other reasons}Sure if, the tech are just standing around They will do it ,I don"t let them do any maintenance ,so they known that they can"t tie any extra cost to the warranty work

I cannot remember how many times I call them on warranty work an was told to make and appointment two weeks away. I WAS WILLING TO BE OPEN TO AGREEMENTS NOT ANYMORE. They just want to find ways to charge you MORE.

This service department make feel like your the problem ,AND WANTS TO BILL YOU FOR IT.

Sounds like everyone should call the owner and direct him to this thread... and tell him you won't be doing any business with his dealership.

This problem you're having with your truck sounds a lot like the same vibration I'm dealing with (see bad vibrations). Mine occurs mainly, but not always when loaded. The shaking is more severe in reverse, but occurs in first and second too. My truck has had no power enhancements done to it, but at times it shakes so violently when backing a trailer, that it feel like it's gonna shake my teeth out of my head. Your case seems to be the closest to what I'm going through that I have heard. Please keep me informed, currently the dealer is checking with his rep. on what they feel the problem is.

Blaine Dodge

TWest,

I remember a few months back you were telling me they were a good dealership for service. I guess they must have changed the manager or something.

I did mention to you that I had the "premium" warranty on the 2001 and they refused to due the warranty work because the proble was "abuse" related.

I have had nothing but good luck with Cambridge Motors (John Hiersh).

I have to admit I am shocked that the Hecker dealership did anything for ya. I had writtten them off along time ago.

EEngle, Many of their loyal employee"s have found employment elsewere and I think this has a impact on what the heck is going on there. This RI-h guy is the service manager and is most of the problem He is a control fanatic

Hecker on the other has made changes,at lease they are putting some effort or recognize the vehicle has problems they order the parts necessary to change the angle off the rear drive-line to try and help with the the take off shudder. Blaine dodge said it was normal. I do like the sales dept at Blaine dodge ,But they cannot make atonement for the way the service dept acts. It sadden"s Me I will not be purchasing from them in the future.
