Sure sounds like agreat way to improve the ride on a 3/4 or 1 ton truck!

last time I looked there were a couple of pair for sale in the TDR classifieds.

Last I heard it was 2 thumbs down

I had them on my 94 3/4 ton. They did make a difference in the overall ride. They take a lot of the bone-jarring jolt out of the bigger bumps. You still feel them, they just don't knock your fillings out anymore. Are they worth $150? I would say yes. Every little bit helps.

I thought about adding these to my truck also, but after doing further research IMO they don't seem to be worth the $. I'm now going to add the Roadmaster Active Suspension. The cost is a bit more but the feedback on ride quality seems to make the addition worth the $. Do a search and you'll find a lot of feedback about the Roadmasters.

I installed them on my new Y2K. They may have been worth the $160 I paid for them, but I don't think they were worth the work of installing them. I haven't tried the Edelbrock Performer IAS shocks (inertia sensitive) yet, but I intend to. The ride is still not as smooth as my ‘95, which does not have the overload springs but does have the Firestone Ride Rite air bags.

If you need it the Edelbrock numbers for the 2000 year Dodges are 3344 front & 3444 rear.

I am also curious on how much of a difference in ride quality there would be. I have noticed that most of the people trying them are not driving any of the 1st generation trucks. The newer trucks drive like Caddy's comparitively speaking. I think they would be a better improvement on the older trucks.

I had a set on a 91 and a 94 Phord. Worked great. Have not tried them on my Goat.

I've got a pair on my 96 2500 4x4 Ecab LB. They help some. Keep in mind they only give about 1/2" to 1" of wheel travel so they are useless on big bumps. I found the only place they help is with freeway ripples. If you drive rippled freeway a lot, unloaded as i do, they help quite a bit. If not you'll probably never know they are there. Surprisingly, they don't help a lot on washboard dirt roads, probably the shocks fault though.

The can be a PITA to install. I had to drop the receiver hitch for clearance.

I had a set on my '96 3500 4x2. They were a lot of work installing them, and the difference wasn't huge, but I'd say they were worth it. I've missed having them on my 2001 3500 4x4, so I just ordered a set for it. Anything to dampen the bone-jarring stuff is a good thing.

As for ride height, it's possible they may make the rear end drop an inch or so; I'll know more after I install mine, which with luck will be NEXT weekend. I'll try to remember to do measurements before and after.
