BFG Pricing 285/75/16

Hey does someone know the actual cost one these? How much of a markup do they have? I got them down 35 bucks per tire on some 31x10. 5x15 BFG's.



I've checked out the prices on 285's. Tire Rack was the cheapest with Sams Club only a couple bucks more around 160. Costco, Americas Tires, and 4 Wheel Parts were all at 174. All 3 of our trucks are about ready for tires, we need 2 sets of 285/75/16 BFG's and a set a 235/85/16 in good economical highway tires. I haven't gone in yet but I know I should be able to get the 235's for 70-80 per tire. How much of a deal should I expect on the 285 BFG's? Since we're purchasing 12 tires at once what kind of deal would you guys expect to get. Let me know your thoughts.

Doesn't anyone work in a tire shop or know someone that does here? What's the markup on these tires? What kind of deal should you be able to swing on 3 sets of truck tires? Hello is anyone out there?????



I've read tons of information on this site since way back when it started. I don't understand why when I ask a question I get a few answers if I'm lucky. Just looking for a little help. I feel like I'm speaking gibberish here. Are my questions so difficult that I only get one reply? I know there are a number of tire threads all the time that get way more than one reply.



So far my best bet is Sams Club. I thought Americas Tires would go below Sams Club, but all they said they could do is match the price since Sams Club already sells for less. I haven't asked, but will Sams Club deal on their price? Any information would be helpful.

The reason you probably aren't getting many responses is because as I understand it BFG has agreements with their tire dealers on prices - as in fixed prices. You may be able to find some dealers out there who will deal but at least in my area noone will. We pay ~$186 per tire for 285/75 BFG AT's. I've had several dealers in the area tell me they can't discount BFG's and that if they do BFG won't sell to them any more.

Steve thanks for the quick reply. I heard something like that before but I've always had luck getting BFG's under the going rate. I've had excellent luck with the BFG's on my 02. 63,000 miles and still driveable. I'm looking specifically for 285/75/16 or something very close, any other good deals on something that is comparable to the BFG T/A KO? I've read lots of the tire threads but what do you think is the best investment for the price and why?



I know Pro Comp is having a special right now, but how many miles have people been getting on the AT's?



Anyone running Bridgestone Dueler AT Revo's? What kind of mileage and how do you like them?



What about the Yokohama Geolander AT + II?



How many miles out of the Nitto Terra Grapler AT?



Don't want the Dunlop Rovers, those things wore out way too fast.



Any others I haven't mentioned???

BFG Tires

Hey kshimizu,

This is a great tire for our trucks. I'm on my 2nd set and the first went over 57000 miles. Thats the best I've ever had a tire do on any 4wd pickup. Just one problem with buying them at costco.

You can buy them there, but they won't mount them. They aren't load range E and thats what came as original equipment. I bought

295-75-16 and had them mounted elsewhere.

Talk to Bill out at Morro Bay Tire (on Quintana St. ). He had some "take-offs" that fit my Cherokee, for less than the internet folks. Sometimes you get lucky. He's a nice guy and might be able to keep an eye out for you.

I've only run BFG AT's on mine and have been very happy with them - don't see changing.
