BHAF and new lift pump

I installed a bhaf a few days ago and hadnt had a chance to see if it would lower my egt's. Well this morning my truck started to hesitate at anything above 1/2 throttle. Took it to the dealer and they installed a new lift pump. This afternoon i got a chance to hook up my 7500# 5ver. I took it up a 6-7 % 3-4 mile straight grade and I gained 2 lbs of boost (34 instead of 32) but did not see any drop in EGTs, possibly because of the extra fuel from the new pump? By the way I couldnt believe my luck as I pulled onto the highway and a superduty PSD pulling a empty 3 horse trailer went by. I stayed behind until the grade started then pulled around and was at least a 1/4 mile ahead at the top.
