guy's bought my BHAF tonight (fleetguard ah19037) after I remove the stock air box and clamp the turbo hose to the filter is that it:eek: or do you have to zip tie it to anything:confused: this filter looks huge I don't want it moving around if thats possible, And as always THANK'S for every one's help.

Don Oo. Oo.

Put something (rubber, plastic, bubble gum) over the stock air filter box mounting studs and maybe the A/C line so they don't tear into the BHAF. You may see witness marks on the hoodliner - that seems to be enough to hold mine in place. Could order the Mallory BHAF mount that somebody is offering on another thread.

I've run my filter for over 25k mi. I have had no indication or problems with the filter moving or scuffing the plastic nuts on the stock air box studs. When installing the filter I put a little counter clock wise torque on the elbow at the turbo then tighten the turbo clamp to keep a little downward pressure on the filter to fender well.

I have ordered a Mallory mount for looks not from necessity.

DEFINATELY put a piece of PVC inside the filter neck to stiffen it up. I didn't and it seemed like it was nice and tight. I pop my hood every time I fill up and one time I open it up and BINGO - the air filter was out of the intake (this after running it for about 6 months)! :--) Worst part was that I had driven down about 5 miles of dirt road :( . I have it out right now because it's still drift busting season but when it goes back in a month or so from now it will have a piece of PVC in there.

I used the piece of metal pipe that came with the Scotty to reinforce mine.

I put spiral wrap on the air conditioning line and laid a piece of foam rubber under the filter. Just kind of floats there.

I made a short piece of alumimun u channel (upside down) that fits over two of the studs for thew original air box for the BHAF to rest on, and run two long zip ties togeather around the whole thing; it does not move and sounds so sweet!
