I got the BHAF installed over the week-end and have noticed something that I have not seen mentioned in all the posts on this subject. With the injectors that I have, I could lay down a pretty good smoke cloud. But no more. After the BHAF install, the smoke is gone. Is this normal? Has anyone else noticed this?

There were a few others members that commented about less smoke with the BHAF, so yes I'd say it's normal.

If you get smoke its due to unburned fuel, (rich fuel/air ratio), the bhaf gave you approx. 3 times the surface area of stock thus more air can get in giving you a leaner mix.

I ordered it from cummins, It's a fleetguard AH19037 and the cost was 33. 46+tax, it is a marine filter in there book and it flows 915 CFM acording to fleetguard.

I have another question that has not been asked that I know of about the BHAF.



Did anyone notice the effectiveness of their exhaust brake being reduced with this filter? I swear I did but have not been that concerned to go back and forth with the K&N 880 to come to any conclusions.

I got mine from "danandme" at the Texas rally. Cost was $39 and change including tax. Even included installation. :D Thanks Dan.

Benson,

I am no longer leaving a smoke trail. I could stomp it at a light and completely fog an intersection. Going by previous replies, I would have to say it flows MUCH better than the K&N I replaced.

Put mine in this week end. Smoke went away because now the turbo is unencumbered for drawing in air. As far as the Jake brake, I still slow down just as fast, but is sounds a whole lot richer now. Nice deep mellow sound. :D :D
