Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) BHAF Sock (Prefilter)

Does anyone make a prefilter sock to fit the napa BHAF? Or any other if you know of a combo. I've heard entirely too much about K&N's and I noticed a spot pn my turbo and thought i was making it up in my head that something had gotten through. I'm too poor for one of the high dollar filters right now so try not to mention it too many times.

Wanting to provide a little "extra" filter protection to my BHAF, I had my wife sew up THIS outer cover for mine:

Then being a "belt AND suspender fella, I then added an Outerwears filter/cover over the homemade one:

o0o0o0o nice place for the filter minder... does it just pop in there or is it threaded. . hmm i`ll have to check out my orig airbox. .



got an outerwears on mine, works great, it keeps the wet and the big chunks of crap outa the pleats

The filter minder is a push fit into a rubber grommet in the stock filter box - I pulled mine out of the stock box, drilled a hole in the end of the NAPA BHAF I had, and installed the filter minder - about a 5 minute job...

What size and how much was that thing? I kinda like that if I could get it in blue.

Whats is your inner cover made out of. Mom could make anything for them. I might just have to find something suitable and let her roll something out for it.

As to size, you just give them a call and tell them what sort of filter you want one for - they are very familiar with the BHAF - they have them in several colors, and they sell for about $25 or so...
