BHAF-Whistle Gone

You guys were right. I had the K&N 0880 and it was a screamer,but the BHAF sure took the whistle out of the turbo. I would have thought the bigger filter would have been actually louder. It will be nice to have it quieter on the road.

What filter is that? Was mounting hardware purchased separate from the filter, or did the filter mount up without any extra hardware?



I am currently running a K & N and am considering a BHAF.

That is the fleetguard AH19037 with the outerwear prewrap. I made a heat shield out of some Thick guage SS , made a cardboard template so i could utilize the factory bolts. Rolled one side ,put a 2" long 2 x2" aluminum angle for the back of filter, and tie straped a piece of 1" SS gas flex pipe to align it . After the picture I took a piece of rubber u-channel tank gasket and wraped the edge of the whole thing . Sets in there nice and sturdy.

where did you order that filter from and what did it run you. im in the market for a BHAF and that is the best looking BHAF i've seen. very nice setup man,

Got it from Southeast Power Systems (cummins Daytona.

The filter was $40 and the Outerwears prewrap was about $25.

So the filter just bolts right on. The only add-on was the heat sheild. Right?



I'm just trying to assess my work load when I take this one on.

Bhaf noise

Hmmm i must be missing something... . I took off my K&N and mod. air box and put on the the 2790 napa filter w/ one of Jason's Mt's and it is as loud if not louder than my K&N

I love it!!!! how is yours w/out the wrap? just thouht i'd give my 2 cents... . Scott (Proram)
