Ditto on what Rob said. Watch your egt. gauge, if you see higher numbers than the norm within your egt. baseline and you have no boost leaks, driving the same roads, might be a good indication that the filter is getting dirty.
That's how I judged the performance of the RE0880. The egt's were slowly creeping upwards on the same hills, no boost leaks. Turned out to be about 15,000 miles for me with the K+N, which I replaced with the BHAF while I cleaned same. The egt's dropped back to baseline K+N readings I had when it was new, minus about 100F.
