Does anyone know specifically what tractors (rigs) these were originally found on ? Or possibly any other kind of vehicle ?

Can't help with what vehicle they came on, but the Cummins dealer did tell me that the Fleetguard AH19037 was approved for use on this engine.

I think the original application is for an enclosed stationary engine, such as an emergency generator in a building, with the filter mounted vertically clamped directly to the air intake. The filter design is a Donaldson "Duralite" and several different brands come re-boxed with the Duralite sticker still on the filter.

I have an old catalog somewhere that has drawings with the mounting specs and shows the filter on an engine but couldn't find it on their site.
