I have a 2006 that has a problem with the electrical. Occasionaly the CHECK GAUGES light will come on. This is followed by the voltage indicator quickly going down to below 10 volts. This happens in less than 15 minutes. Lights dim and the truck will not start due to dead batteries. I suspect the drain is caused by the Grid Heaters as nothing else I can think of would suck the power so quick. Also when they turn on the Alternator by design stops charging. I disconnected the relay wire to the Grid heaters and that seems to stop the drain however the alternator will not charge when this symptom is present. I flashed the program with a Superchips 5800 when I returned the program to stock. That gets it charging again but after driving for 10 minutes the light comes on again. Any ideas?
