I am all for this! I think it is a good idea! But, the final end user should have the option of turning it off if desired.

Imagine that!! (sarcasm. ) There shuold be some sort of user options... . Just like the federally mandated (read as Big Brother, consumer pays) air bag that was installed in reg cab pick- ups even though it was a hazzard that eventually lead to 'off' switches for air bags.



I say clip the wires if no option of turning it off... course they will have a set up wheras the car will not start if disabled

They have already indicated in the article that it was too tightly integrated with things such as ABS brakes etc.

Seriously, a friend of mine in LaCrosse WI had his cell phone and his wife's replaced for free by the carrier, due to a ne lw out there that requires GPS chips. The pretext being that if you are stuck in the snow and unconsious, they can find you. LoJack, force tracker, or whatever you have can find the thieves, and you it they want you.



Certain websites can find out most anything about you for a Fee. I guess that we really are there.
