Big Brother turbo? who makes it?

Ok, what is this turbo. I know that some are using it in the twin set up..... Who makes the Big brother..... Is that just a nick name for it? I know that Jim Fulmer and Maddog run it as the bigger turbo on there twins. But who makes the big Brother? Is it something Ken has came up with? What did it come on originally?

Piers doesn't make it, they SELL it.

The BB is another product of Ken Diaz at Turbo Auto Diesel.

He also makes all the B1 turbos.

The B1 is a turbo that Schwitzer makes... ... Ken does some modifications to them to make them spool better.....



Bell Turbo also makes a B-1... . It is called the USB and it has a wastegate on it that is adjustable from the cab. Kens B-1 has a set screw in the exhaust housing for the wastegate.

The B-1 turbo and the Big Brother turbo are made by Ken Diaz of turbo auto diesel in Phoenix,he does not just tweek on them he and only he builds them anybody claiming to build them is lying or they are doing there best to copy him. Ken has several people who sell them but he is the only builder.

Careful now... only to a point is he the only one making them. Ken is the only one making one's that are in the "B1" line as known by people on here.



However, as Lucas pointed out above, Bell also builds a variant of the B1 that he calls the USB. We have three different Schwitzer turbos on three different pickups. 2 of Ken's B-1-2's on my '01 and Denis' 01. 5, and Lucas currently runs a Bell USB on his... set the USB next to one of our B1's and, if you took off his wastegate system, you couldn't tell the difference... it's all on how they set them up inside. And from what we've seen in the three turbos, neither one is better than the other by leaps and bounds. They both have their HUGE DISSAPOINTMENTS when it comes to barking and surging, but neither outshines the other.

Big Brother

He's a good turbo without a doubt, spools quick (right behind the 40) makes good boost and good temps at that boost, anyone that has enough fuel will like it over the STD 3B's, now having said that I've never proven on the dyno that it's better than them but I like it... ... ... ... ... ..... new trick stuff next year!
