How to talk about men and be Politically Correct

test--ignore

I have two Newfoundland girls (Henna and Maggie) Both senior Water Rescue Dog titled and a little 11 month old male Newf puppy (120 lbs). Our Doberman, Zac, wants to be a Water Rescue Dog and is working real hard at it. Until I get the others scanned and up loaded. . . Here's Henna (if this works ofcourse)

Irish Wolfhound

Am on the road right now but will get a picture of my Irish Wolfhound, Seamus, with the truck at the weekend and post here.

140 lbs and 36 inches at the shoulder, on his back legs he stands over 6 feet tall!

Cool pic. Newf !!!!

Some of my pics. are at the Saints link below. That's Baxter in my Av. photo. Here's a pic of them coming in from a snowstorm last year.....

I don't think Baxter was really ready to come inside yet, he wanted to build up a thicker coat of snow:D I just took a bunch of (really bad) video of the "kids" playing in the snow this past winter and edited it into a pretty good 10 min. movie. I added it on to Henna's "video portfolio". She was in an AT&T commercial a couple years ago. She is a girl but plays a boy on TV (Buster).

Did you insert that great photo from your files directly? I scanned mine at 72dpi and I had to make it as small as it is to be accepted by the forum. What did you give up to keep the file size small enough? My files were about 235kbytes at 5x7 inches 72dpi. How did you keep the size and quality?

By the way,Big Saint, your link only led me to that one picture, not the album.

Newf-

That photo was shot at standard quality on an Olympus E-10 digicam. It was then resized to 800x600 and cleaned up in Photoshop, and was then posted on my webspace. The image link uploads the photo from there. :D I'm in the photo biz, so I get some benefits (like testing $3000 digicams and free film). We have high end digital scanning equipment at our Lab, if I have any traditional photos I want digitized, I always scan the neg. IMO, scanning using a flatbed is crappy quality, but we have to do it when the negs are not available.

Kev:cool:

Those are great pics of your dogs Bigsaint... Baxter is a celebrity in my office... I use the "flashbulb shellshock" photo of him as the wallpaper on my computer, makes everyone laugh that sees him.

He makes for good mood therapy when all the a** h***s of the world decide to call me at the same time on a Friday afternoon!!!

I am using the adobe shutterfly website now because photopoint decided it was time to charge. With photopoint though, I was able to post and have my photo come up like yours does from your site. Ihaven't had any luck with shutterfly, just links.

I don't own a flatbed scanner yet but need to get one to scan IT8 targets for color profiling. I am using a Nikon LS 2000 film scanner (that I have been VERY happy with) to scan my negs and transparencies. I went to school for Commercial Photography at Santa Monica College (now accepted by Brooks) but didn't hang around for the digital stuff so now I am flailing. By the way, I am not ready to give up film completely just yet, my favorite format is a 4x5. To go digital in that direction

Thanks for compliments, I told Baxter about his celeb. status, he just looked at me like this :) and drooled, but then again, he always looks like that :D .

He is actually the biggest sissy St. Bernard that I have ever seen. He hates the snow, while Barkley will roll in it all day long, Baxter is much happier in the house, next to a warm fire, go figure.

Colin... another winner !!!!!

Now Colin, that's just downright scary! My Newf Boy is comming of age and I don't like how he's been eyeing the cat! The last thing I need is a bunch of big kittens SLOBBERING all over the house!!!:D

Hounds

Hey Big Saint-

Those are some nice looking hounds!:D My girlfriend was here for the weekend, and my Yellow Lab "Sadie" was giving her the evil eye all weekend  :D I think there was a little bit of jealousy going on. :D Ya gotta love them dogs!

Now that this thread is about dead...

I finally got my album to link up!

#1 is James' Baby picture.

#2 is Maggie and Henna, our first two Newfies.

#3 Henna's impersonation of Wonder Woman. Her favorite thing to do is practice her Water Rescue techniques:D

I used to be able to insert photos directly into the thread from photopoint, but it seems all I can do now is use links. Sorry for the inconvenience

Here's Harley......

Harley's my 13 year old Rottie. He sure was a ball of mischief in his day. Now he prefers to sleep most of the day away. Who say's we don't get wiser as we get older... ...
