Big Exhaust

Well, I've got my 5" installed this morning. It's sounds awesome! Not any more of that raspyness that the 3" without the muffler made. The only problem is that I think I have to have a fueling box with this exhaust. I think my ECM is starting to defuel real quick because the boost builds so quick. Turbo lag is barely noticable now. When I get back to work, I'm going to try and record it.

You and I are so alike! Imagine that right the same night as you were cleaning yours off with chrome polish, I was inside the bed of my truck using Mother's Chrome polish on mine..... pirate patch and all! Now imagine the looks I'd get if I had a parrot on my shoulder too. Thank heavens that the patch is now history.

Kurt, you guessed correctly, actually lost view of his entire vehicle in the 'vapor trail' , that's no exaggeration. I know this, my truck is much happier with the lower temps. /humidity as to smoke. I'm guessing that the heavier air just don't mix well with the showerhead injectors. Took a ride today with lower outside temps and humidity, much more snappy with much less smoke, hit 40 psi's boost on a 4th gear WOT and 45 in 5th, then had to slow down as I was somewhat above the post limit .



Chris, glad to hear that you have lost the patch, although it would have been quite a conversation piece while you are piloting the Racer, aka, Nazi Navy . Seriously, glad all is well again with your eyesight.

DieselPro 5" Exhaust

Jason, How well did the exhaust install, did everything fit properly and is the exhaust visable below the frame of the truck. If you could maybe post some pics it would even be better. Once I get my pole barn done I'm thinking of buying the same exhaust.

DarrellB, Everything went pretty well, fit and finish were good except for one of the flares were slightly oval and didn't want to cooperate (I thing it was due to UPS and not dieselpro). It isn't visible at all except were it comes out at the tail. I'll go take some pictures in a couple of hours.
