Murder/ suicide at Chrysler assembly plant.

Rhode Island Really?

I knew that would get your attention fast :-laf:-laf:-laf Had to come in to town to report to Sheriff. I went and turned myself in :-laf, Was with our hunting group and ran across 2 BUTT heads from OR. They had a horse so loaded down with equipment that it could not put it's head down to get a drink from a stream without falling. They asked about a valley that they were going to hunt and wanted help. (stupid people come out here and dont know where they are going!!!!!) My Niece and myself were looking at the poor horse (shes a Veterinarian) it had to have been at least 20 years old looking at its teeth ,under fed ,dehydrated, I took off my hat and filled it with water and the horse sucked it dry about 10 times. I asked if they were going to stop for the nite before they tackled 2 pretty good size passes 1 of which is VERY STEEP and hard on animals IN GOOD CONDITION. Their response was no why plenty of day left? Niece said because if you try the first pass you'll drop this horse on the trail!!! They didn't seem to concerned about it and away they went.

After lunch we got going and ran into them about a mile from the top of the first pass and sure as hell that horse dropped dead. They were taking the gear off and strapping it to another saddle horse and were going to leave. They were asked about the horse they said its just good food for predators. We were getting 2 of my gang in harness and along came the Fish and Game and Forest Serv. they asked what happened like they didn't know . They had been told about a party of 2 that didn't have to much going for them and thought that they would check into it. We were going to pull the horse off the trail and get it down into the trees where the predators could take care of it without endangering anyone on the trail. While we did that Niece talked to them and the FG and FS went after the 2 of them. We split at a trail at the top of the pass and went to our camp. 2 days later the FG came to our camp and asked to see the tags for the game we had taken and asked if our Niece and Myself would come to town and give a statement about the condition of the horse and what we had seen. No big deal we had to take game into town a few bears were around but there must be a cat convention in the BOB cat prints everyplace you go. We rode in today and gave our statement and were told that the 2 were going to pay dearly for what they did and DIDNT EVEN HAVE TAGS to hunt!!! It's funny the Niece and I were having lunch and she asked me what was wrong uncle BIG? Just when ya think and start to believe some that say that im a little weird and then this kind of crap comes along and ya know im not the one that's " F " up it's OTHERS!!~!! weird yes but NOT " F " UP!!!

On a side note great days a field we have tagged 2 Elk and 3 Mule deer could have taken more but looking for some bigger game have plenty of time and Nephew has done a great job on camp.

I love it when an A-hole gets what they deserve. They might have taken me in for what I did to someone who treated an animal that way. My wife says I need to learn to mind my on business, but folks who abuse animals are the lowest forms of life.

Trust me I had to step on my good foot with my fake one to keep from putting up his ****** **** ** and the look from the wife was enough for me to keep from saying to much.

BIG,

Not sure if the law has a big enough penalty for these low lifes, it will run its course and so be it. But maybe the Judge might be a horseman and a man of the soil of Montana and recognize that these guys need a special reminder of how cruel and stupid their actions are, like:

In addition to the penalties afforded me for your blatant disregard for the treatment of this horse and flagrant disregard for the game laws of the State of Montana, I additionally sentence you both to carry the same burden on your backs, as many trips as it takes to accomplish your original goal as you asked the horse to do. Bailiff, cuff 'em and take 'em away.

Nice rack, BIG. Glad the fish n game caught up with them, i imagine it wasnt to hard with an overloaded horse. Hey BIG, are you anywhere near Boseman (not sure about spelling). Had some family from there i was there a few times when I was younger but they later moved to Wyoming.

Seeley Lake MT 65 miles or so NE of Missoula MT. Ya we have seen some good ones but not quite within some range of confident shooting. I to be honest really dont want to be chasing a wounded animal around all day and half the nite. These folks that are with us are family and are sure that the right shot will come and no need to hurry. Lots of game around.

This is what that horse should have looking forward to rather than what it ended in TRAGEDETY  D4L I take care of our stock BY CHOICE they are just a TOOL to some but I dont look at it that way. I think they kind of like being out in the woods rather than a stable even thou they work their butt off.

Theres no explaining some folks!

Killin' a pack animal to get somewhere to "hunt" with no permits:mad:!

Hmmm? Maybe a little sniff, a lick and a nibble on a buttock cheek from a Grizz, may put the fear of whats right, into them:-laf!

Isn't there a FS reg or law that states that dead livestock must be blown up, or carried out?

Nice bull! My season can't get here soon enough.

I just didnt understand it GMan that horse was just to old to be packin that kind of weight. My BIL has an old horse that he takes out camping just because the horse has packed for him so long that it feels left out unless it gets to go. Most of the time we put some little person or nothing at all on her and she seems to calm the other animals so she is doing her job. These kind of people are what makes it tough to help people out when they asked for directions Jason is that outfitter and im hired help so Jason was doing the talking. He knows the BOB just a well if not better than I. My interest was in the animal and the wife reminded me of what happened last time I did the samething for a STOUGE from CALIF. Dont need that she has a better memory than I do.

I think your right in some cases. I would have packed it out but we were heading into camp with a group and we would have had to stop and then take the animal in and in the meantime the group would have had to STOP. There are rules about how many to a pack string and how many guides to a group to consider. My main concern was to remove the animal from anywhere near the trail if someone had ran into it with a Grizz claiming it as its own that could have been REALLY BAD. The FS told me to do it and then they came back and took the jaw of the horse as evidence of the age and condition of the horse. Allot can be told from the teeth. Niece and I both knew that it was SEVERLY DEHYDRATED just looking at the gums and tongue.

None of these are my Tag I got a Cow Elk tag and deer tag to donate to a Bear Sanctuary another group of animals that have been touched by man and of course most of them will never get to see the mountains without looking thru chain link. We collect road kills and take them also I like the bears and find them to be not much different that a pet but would never trust them of course.

We have been doing good I think with filling the tags we could have filled them the first day if we really wanted to, but hunting is what its about not killing. They will get their chance to do both. Some have already. Nephew did a bang up job on camp for his first outfitter season the family is proud of his job LOOK IT'S A 2 HOLE-ER

GO AHEAD ASK HOW IN THE HELL DID THAT STOVE GET UP THERE :-laf Now that is some ingenuity when it comes to packin :D (thank you very much)

And no cold time in the crapper either and a magazine to keep you occupied if you so desire.

No the beer keg next to the heat stove is not for beer. It has a 12V rv pump ran by a battery charged by solar to pump hot water that is plumbed into the heat stove and back out to the keg so they have hot water on tap for what ever the girls want if for. All of our tents have propane lights for ease in the AM.
