Mike,

If this is an example of rambling, lets ramble!

Mongo like Sherrif!

Uncle Big asked to put these pictures on line when we brought some game into the processor he thinks you city slickers like this kind of stuff :-laf(his words not mine so dont shoot the messenger) He is in camp having a great time with his friends from when he and my aunt lived in California. These are just a few that we got had a 10 mule string to get them all in to town.

Mr. Harman

Uncle BIG said to give you a special hello Carl got his Elk and it is everything that he wanted. It made uncle Big happy as a two peckered billy goat that Carl got it. I hope to have as many good people as he and aunt Penny have as friends someday. Mr. Harman Uncle BIG said to tell you that Bob and He have a word with the big man about something that you asked help with every morning and again in the evening hope it works out for you.

These are just a few my aunt LuLu got a deer and my cousin Nate got an Elk, just some others I cant remember names like uncle BIG so we just call them BUD,Pal,Bubba, and Pard.

Jason

PS thanks for the kind words about our camp. Hope you didnt mind me reading this bunch of posts on the site.

Jason,

Glad to be of Service. Prayer to GOD, Who answers Prayer, is a priviledge.

Its the best thing I can do for those in need.

As for my situation, I feel no anxiety. I am certainly Blessed!

Tell BIG and Your Grandfather, I am continuing to set their needs before the Throne of the KING of Kings!

BTW, we are all "City Dudes";):-laf compared to what you and your Family are accomplishing!

May you all have Peace and Safety during this hunting season with all the hard work, working with horses and mules, remote access issues and unfamiliar guests you will face each day!

Your Friend,

GregH

Thanks for all of your good wishes Uncle BIG will definitely appreciate them , some times I know that he's hurting from his leg but he wouldn't say so if it were going to fall off. Our family is not doing anything that people in the area haven't been doing for many years our secret to success is Uncle BIG he makes it what it is in camp. He's not to political in his life unless you call speaking his mind political and some of that might be politically incorrect but its uncle BIG and you dont have to wonder what he's thinking, he has no problem in telling you good or bad.

The unfamiliar guests you speak of, If they walk upright like us they have a place at our fire we wont turn anyone away but uncle BIG has a love hate thing with these guys. Thanks for letting me run off about my Pard uncle BIG I kind of like him ;)

Some of the most beautiful country I have ever seen. The animals aren't that bad either I hope to one day have the opertunity to book a trip to hunt with you and your family.

Big,

Thanks for the pictures... always look forward to them.

Also tell the nephew that he did a fine job!!! Most impressive.

Mike.

Thanks Mike he's a GREAT young man he's just so happy with the way things went. I didn't want to burst his bubble but this group was an easy group to please friends and family. But he still did a bang up job I think. He's plenty tired being the head honcho is different than just riding a horse and packing with some old butt head named BIG got a whole bunch less sleep being the honcho

Getting smiles like that on the face's is what I like the most. That older Gent may never get to go again but he and his Pard will remember that moment long into the winter. The COWBOY COFFEE is what kept me up on my shift on guard duty lots of cat's few bears.

Two new to our outdoor hunting tools list.

The Gambrel is width adjustable for Elk or Deer just turn the center hook there is a nut at the Y behind the plates that when you turn the hook it spreads the game hooks and locks it in with a jam nut. No more problems holding the legs apart securely. The other is pretty self explanatory hook it over the tree branch tie it to ONE mule and pull the whole Elk up if you have a strong enough tree branch.

.

BIG, your pictures bring back alot of memories of my days in Wyoming. My mom sent me a picture of this little guy the other day. He was wandering around her cabin up above Centennial. She snuck around the corner long enough to snap a picture without spooking him. You can see the corner of the cabin on the left. It sure looks like your having enough fun to last a lifetime, it truly is gods country out that way. I hope to be able to move back out there someday.

Im not going to jail for doing anything wrong hunting or doing something in the outdoors that would get me arrested. I like going out to much to put my packing licence on the line or get my hunting privileges removed for life. Some dont care ,I do it how the law says you can that's good enough for me. There are people that figure out how many animals can be taken and of what sex that are a bunch smarter than I. I dont have to agree with them and I will argue the point that they said at a meeting that the Elk and Deer numbers are down in our area. They fly over a spot and say ok we see this many animals and thats the point. They dont travel in the mountains as much as I did this year all together with the Bear Study/ Vacation with friends/ and hunting we will have spent almost 90 days in the mountains thats not including the weekenders that we have taken and the pre hunt scouting trips so its safe to say we've spent OVER 90 DAY'S in the mountains. As proof of the animal numbers I have shown them pictures like the ones below. The amount of animals is just fine. FIL/BIL who have been hunting and outfitting for many years think that the numbers are to high for the amount of forage. We dont have the hunter numbers that allot do because of LACK OF ACCESS. You either pack in on horse or you had better have on HELL of a set of leg's.

D4L

We dont have a high number of moose I have a couple of pictures of them but have never hunted them. We are having fun but for a lifetime is a long time. When winter hits its fun for the first few months but then I can only stay in doors so much the wife get's mad at me and me at her for no apparent reason other than its winter and we see to much of each other. Winter camping is fun as long as its not some kind of white out thing or 40 below its no fun at all. Last winter I went out for a few days just to do it but I picked my times, one time not so well and got stuck out for 5 days it was pretty crisp a few of the nights.

BIG,

MY skillet is bigger than your's, don't make me prove it!. You just got more unique ingredients to cook with.

Great pic's as always BIG.

Be safe and have fun Mountain Cowboy.

Yes Gary your skillet is bigger and the wife wants one of those big-ins she could have used it this trip. Im kind of against it she might use it on me and with one that big she couldn't miss.
