Truck: '01. 5 ETH/DEE quad cab shortbed 4x4 with 86k miles (original VP44 and lift pump, as far as I know). I've heard that my risk of losing a pump is going to be less with injectors than with a box, due to how the fuel is delivered. So my question is - can you run big injectors, like say Mach 4's with just a boost fooler, and then wastegate the turbo at 38 psi or so, and if that would be okay, would I still need a FASS?
Would I be safer to just go ahead and replace the VP44 at the same time, since she's already got 86k on her? Any advice?
I'm currently getting new wheels and tires, and should have a new clutch to handle the extra power in two or three weeks. Just planning power mods for after that. Thanks, everyone!
