Note that the rule doesn't say 'no trailers', only that the puller has to be driven to the event. The obvious solution to this quandary is to use the pulling truck to tow the backup truck to the pull (like Tomac used to do). And maybe leave the backup truck on the trailer until after the puller has been teched in (eliminates accusations of switching trucks). Offers clear proof that the truck is very streetable.

Ahhh, the wonders of having a DIESEL pulling truck. *I* ain't going to haul my diesel on the trailer, and pull it with my 440. :-laf :-laf I always challenged the rule maker, lets go for a ride, we'll drive around town, take it out on the highway to prove its streetablity. I just ain't driving it to a pull. And yeah, I should ditch the gasser pulling truck, and someday I will, but I figure I'll make this truck go down the track a bunch, figure it out, then step up to a first gen diesel pulling truck  Heck with them p-pumps anyhow. :-laf

I'll step out of this thread now that I have completely derailed it, go back to my corner of southern Iowa and dream about a real pulling truck one day. ;)
