Saturday I sold my 1996 3500 SLT 4X4 Club Cab Dually with B Series and 5-speed. (I called her "Big Red") I loved that truck, and would never have parted with it, but the delivery of my 2003 was soon to occur.

The delivery of my new 2003 took place yesterday. "Big Red the Second" is all the truck that the '96 was, plus a whole lot more! It is a 3500 Laramie 4X4 Quad Cab Dually with an HO B Series, 6-speed, limited slip, heated seats, M&S Goodyears, hood shield, power tow mirrors and side curtain air bags.

The fit and finish are excellent! The ease of handling (steering, brakes, clutch, shifting and power) exceeds the 1996. Those who believe the HO lacks power, are being deceived by the greatly improved handling and ride characteristics of the 2003 model. My observation was based on how far back the traffic light was when I hit 65 m. p. h. Granted, it takes a while to get through the first 3 gears, but from there on the HO does nothing but kick butt and take names!! The new B's sweet spot just lasts a lot longer.

I could go on for hours describing how much I like my 2003. However, I will just sum it up this way:

The new 2003 HD Ram is totally cutting edge technology! It possesses Chrysler innovation, Cummins power and Mercedes quality. The best of all worlds!

... ... ... ... ... and it runs even better as you put some miles on it.

Cheers, Casey
