Big Rig Sound

What kind of exhaust should I run to get big rig sound? 4". 5" straight pipe?

I am thinking about the same idea, so Forrest other than getting rid of the resonator can, can one go from there with 5in pipe. .

I have the stock exhaust straight piped, and with the 14cm housing it has a great whistle to it. With my stock 21cm housing it sounded like an old farm tractor, but with the 14 it sounds like a med/heavy duty truck.

I am running a Donaldson 4" straight through muffler. It's the same muffler that the rigs use and it sounds sweeeeet. Turbo whine is loud too. :-laf

I had installed two six inch stacks on a members truck. A week later, a KW had pulled into the campus and backed up along one of our buildings. The exhaust tone, vibrating off the building, sounded just like Johns truck.



In short, it's the big rigs that sound like OUR trucks NOT the other way around!!!!!

I have a 4" pipe with a muffler, somewhat functional, though not completely. I had a hanger (old elec fence post piece) break, and had to remove the tailpipe over the axle. Sounded REALLY neat in town- similar to the 444 I drove for a sod farm in Calhan CO. Too much drone at 2100 rpm on the hwy though. Still turns heads, with the muffler and tailpipe intact.



Bigger/ higher flow air filter will hepl with turbo sound.

Since I got the turbo back from HTT, mine has that F-14 tone.

I have a single 5 inch not sure what it sound's like outside! but im dumping it and going with some new stack's! and after seeing and hearing a set of 7's I think I might have to go with them. I was in michigan last week and had a chance to see a set of 7'' stack's in action look's sweet and sound's badddd!!!!!!! they belong to member blue-beast to bad he dosent have the smoke to fill them!
