Competition Best truck pulling torque convertor

Off Roading Biggest tires for 2001 dually.

Yup. Definitely call J. R. It's looking like we're going to start with one of his lil HX55's on my new first gen :). With your pump, you could probably spool one of his larger 55 hybrids, I'd think.

Chris

I agree, give J. R. a call. If your gonna run some decent amout of fuel and some RPM's go with one of his bigger 55's. I'm running his small 55 and like it very much, spools pretty good for a big single. Tell him what your plans are for the truck and he'll fix you up.

Bpostel, is your truck the one JR p-pumped a couple weeks ago? How do you like it compared to the old VP in terms of driveability?

Partsman, sounds good to me. When you say more fuel, are you meaning bigger injectors or a bigger pump (you've already got a race pump on it, right?)?

Chris

You need to wait a little while before getting a turbo. There is a new one coming out from ATS and i heard it is pretty crazy..... We will just wait and see.

GO 4LO,

Yep, this is the truck that J. R. P-Pumped. I really don't see much difference in the daily drivability. It's running really good. Not seeing the problems that everyone else has seen in the past. People have reported huge clouds of smoke, low power compared to the vp-44, trucks bucking all the time. I haven't seen any of these problems, J. R. did an excellent job. I've got some tuning left to do, I'd like to upgrade to some of J. R. 's bigger injectors. I've hit 40psi of boost and 1050egts on his little 55. Very happy with the conversion :D

Wait until the Holset Pro-52 gets some miles on it...

I've got high hopes for this turbo... might be just what the doctor ordered. Not for me, but for plenty of people looking at singles...

Matt

yeah good point ...

Partsman, you can be the guinea pig we've been looking for

slap on that pro 52 and if you don't like it you and i can swap turbos and compare

of course if you like it than we'll both have turbos that we love :)

If you don't want the truck to be streetable any more go bigger than a 55, they can be killed. Your probably looking at close to the same money anyway.

I dont think you can go wrong with JRs chargers they are tough and reliable. I have been at 550 for a while with my daily driver and zero problems. I made 552/ 1070 this weekend with his hx55 and fuel only. He makes good stuff and backs up his products.

hard to go wrong with Turbo Auto Diesels B1 it comes in a customized version ,tailored to your needs , call Ken 602 272 5311

I just ordered one of JR's 55's last week, can't wait until it comes, I know its going to be awhile. Hopefully it goes nice with his custom plate, lazer cuts, and a set of DDP's stage 4 injectors when I order them next week. JR seems like a real nice guy from talking to him on the phone a couple of times.
