I'm planning on buying 35 X12. 50 for my truck. The truck has the 2" front leveling kit and I'm wondering if anyone that has the same setup has had a problem with the tires rubbing? I'm not in the mood to put a lift on the beast.

Steve

I am running 315 75 R16 (34. 8") with the Skyjacker 2" springs and my tires rub just slightly at full lock. It is not something that bothers me in the slightest. Mud terrain tires actually rub less because the way the treads tend to be rounded on the top of the sidewal (corners). My last set of tires were 315 BFG All Terrains and they rubbed more then my current Mud Rovers though I lived with it for 59,000 miles without much of a problem. However don't think that you can get the tires now and then get wheels later that have more offset because just about everything made hass too much and makes the tire rub in the fender well.

In short... ... ... ... ... yes you will rub the control arms with 35" tires on factory wheels. Good luck. :)

I figured they'd rub a bit, and hoping that it wasn't excessive. It sounds like it isn't too bad. I guess it's one of the pains with going a bit beyond stock.

My 2500 HD has no lift at all. I have 315 75 16 Cooper Discoverer S/T tires. Rub at full steering lock on the upper track bar, but that's it. I just back off the steering wheel a 1/4 turn and I'm fine. Note that my 4x4 has the plow prep and camper packages, so that added height may be what is making this work.

BTW, the first 40k miles with the BFG were also with bone stock suspension. After adding the 2" up front it made it rubb even less.

Hey, hey I am just getting ready to install my D25 coils, I am just waiting for the shocks to show up. I want to go with 305/70 Cooper ST. Duluth Diesel how do you like the ST tires, would you buy them again?? How are they in the grassy fields and mild mud? I can't find anyone running these and able to give me their opinion of them... . thanks and seeya... ... ... ... ... ... Oo.

I am running Cooper S/T 315 75/16's on the stock aluminum 8" rims on the stock suspension of my 2002 2500 Ram sniezel. The tires rub at full lock but let off the wheel a little and presto... good to go!

As far as the tires in general?? I can only tell you I would suggest them to anyone. They are GREAT in the mud and fair in the snow. Just go back today making new tracks in 18" of fresh heavy snow. Im running 25 psi in the rear and 35 psi up front. Seems to wear the tires the entire tread at those pressures.

Ohh, by the way, get yourself a Detroit Locker for your dana 80 and go where you never thought of. The stock limitied slip units are really over rated. Once you go DETROIT LOCKER, you will never go back.

Out-do

Steve

Are you trying to out-do Norm? Your truck is already better looking and much faster. I guess you need to make it better. You may have to adjust your towing of the boat in the summer.

Guy

I can't keep with Norm. My truck would look like the inside of a TGI Friday's if I tride:D I was due new tires and I've wanted new rims for a while so I did it. Go check my truck out... new 17" rims and 315 70/R17 tires! I like them. I'll be posting new pictures as soon as the weather is nice enough to wash and detail.
