Competition Biggest Baddest Yet Still Stock Short Block

Here is the the question.



What are the biggest numbers anybody has seen out of a



12V

24V

CR





But, here is the rub. I know the biggest numbers out of all of the above. What are the biggest numbers with STOCK short blocks.



Anything else goes. Ex: head porting, nitrous, twins, water/meth etc...



Only rule is a STOCK short block.



I'm pretty sure I know the right answers, but I want to see what might be floating around that I haven't seen.



Biggest CR with stock short block that I know of is 872RWHP in an 03 single turbo and nitrous. The CR has a bit of an advantage due to piston design.



What about the biggest 12 and 24?

I'm not sure of the HP number, but MDW is way up there with a bonse stock short block.



The truck runs 11. 23, so it's putting some ponies out for sure.

Who had the 12v that made 1187hp on spray down south. That had a stock short block. I know the engine I just dont know the truck.

I am building one that should dyno on 4/7, CR 05 motor. If all goes as planned it should be pretty nasty, somewhere in the 8 bills range on fuel. I am sure it will hit way more on spray but I may wait a while before I do that, dont want to break anything just yet. Maby after the season is over make a spray run to see what it will do.

Stock unmodified-short block.



Drop in cams are permissible. But no other work below the deck surface.



So, no the milled pistons are taboo in this one.

Oh yeah he may still have the truck. Ive just been told the engine has changed hands.
