Who is towing with a HTB2 Killer?

PREMO OIL REFINER v. AMSOIL DUAL BYPASS

If you had an engine running a 160 pump with laser-cut dv's and 370's, stock turbo (has to go), auto transmission, 4. 10's, what would you do next for a bump in horsepower, given a budget of, say, $4000? Trans is already taken care of - the $4k will have to cover fuel and air, though...

So what do you think a 160-pump with dv's, 4kgsk, and 370's will max out at, powerwise, given enough air? 500?

Chris

What is your HP goal and your use for the truck? Do you tow?

I think 500 is pretty tough to get out of a mostly stock 160 and still maintain decent street manners of the truck.

No, I don't tow. Bought the '93 just for fun. For now, I'd like to get it as fast as possible by the end of August. Next year, it'll get a race pump and even more air.

How cheap could I pick up a used 215 pump?

Chris

Jeff Garmon has a 1994 Auto (160hp) Reg. Cab with spring kit, his modded 370's, stock DV's and nailed over 450hp on the dyno. Added a S300 for fun and nailed around 550hp. With stock turbo it ran a 12. 97 @ 104 if I remember correctly.

The 160's have some disadvantages but by no means can't make power. His could use better air and more power would be developed.
