Any Duck fans out there?

Ballpark Cost of 20' GN

Well, once again I disagree withe vote. I have yet to agree with the judges/public. The Exile bike was out there, too different, not flashy enough for John Q. Public. Trotta`s bike was ok, but nothing stood out as unique. Am I missing the point, or are all these customs "cookie cutter" ones of a kind? DK.

I loved the Exile bike, I had a couple questions though. The bike had no levers, the clutch was setup like a throttle on the left bar, you turned it to disenage the clutch. How were the brakes setup?, linked perhaps with a some type of bias adjustment for front to back? only actuated by the foot lever? Must be hard to learn to ride, I have a hard time riding my buddies old Triumph, I can imagine what the Exile would be like. I have allways been impressed by them, looks like they are getting some recognition now.

I agree, the Exile bike is clean and functional looking.

Did you hear that one kid's comment "The Exile bike looks like something you'd get at Wal-Mart".

Did you guys see the bike built by the guy in Georgia? Can't remember the full name, Young was the guys last name. That was pretty cool, frame made from the ground up, incorporated an old ford front axle... .

Yeah- and he LOST! Just like tonight's show- nothing against Bergeron's bike (when it ran!), but it just wasn't in the same class as Kendall's. Yet, Mitch won! WTH?

I love Exile cycles, I came very close to buying a kit from them, then came to the conclusion that bikes often = death, after I lost a co-worker to a wreck, and decided to hold off on another bike until I moved away from the city and all the ignorant, crazy fools on the road here that are eager to kill motorcyclists

Did any of you see Motorcycle Mania 3 (?). Can't remember the name for sure... .

The one w/ Kid Rock & Jesse James.

I am actually getting sick of some of these shows because they seem a little too "fabricated" (no pun intended) and TV is just flooded with them. I was kind of expecting the same thing but I was very impressed with that show; beautiful riding and especially Jesse's bike. The copper tank and fenders were very original. I don't think I have ever seen a bike like that.

Yes, I saw it, Jesse is the best, he builds almost every part on the bike in house, unlike many of the other builders. I got a kick out of the beginning when Jesse and his girl were driving up to MA to visit the master metal worker, were we susposed to believe he drove that truck from CA?

Well, it`s about time that

I finally agree with the judge`s decision! Just taste I guess, but Matt Hotch`s scooter was/is the cat`s ass! Very cool, and one of the few bikes that looked different. Yet, it looks rideable. Still, I would love to have an Exile in the garage next to my Bagger. I want it, I need it, Where is it? DK. :--)

The unique thing on that Hutch bike was the air suspension front and rear. It takes vision and ingienuity to do something like that. Also with the bigger gas tank, He had no problems doing the long trip unlike the green machine where he kept running out of Gas... ...

Ok... I may get slammed for this but here goes. .

I would not walk across the street to sit on one of Jesse James' bikes. Some people are too arrogant for their own good. I have a friend that did one of the Monster garages. He did the walnut shaker from the Ford truck.

He said that he seen Jesse for a total of about 30 minutes during the week that they were filming the build. I did see the truck in person. . and it was a piece of work. .

If I had or was given the money to have a custom built bike. . I would head to Dublin Ca. and have Arlen Ness build mine. Arlen is from the old school and has been around the block a few times...

Arlen is the man

Arlen was doing this when the rest were still in diapers, except for Trotta who was in jail. My wife is from Hayward/San Leandro area. Her mom is on a first name basis with Arlen & his wife. He builds some wild bikes, beautiful in fact. But I will keep my bagger. There is a guy in Texas who builds bikes, American Iron Horse I think is the name, He built the bagger from hell last year. Naasty motor, flamed, and slammed on the ground. Gotta love it! Still, you have to appreciate the artistry involved in these bikes. And it is about time that people realize that they are art; art on wheels. DK.

I have a neighbor that is the service manager for Fresno Freedom Riders and they sell the American Iron Horse. .

The other day I was outside giving the truck a bath and he pulled up on an American Iron Horse. . :--) :--) :--) . . I needed a smoke!

You are right... they are art on wheels...

How would you have liked it to be invited to the build off that was between Arlen and Cory... That all nighter would have been out of this world!

The food didnt look to bad either

Arlen`s shop should be called

The Garage Mahal! The wife was there 2 weeks ago & said it was unreal. Huge & full of neat toys. I`ve been to the old store many times. They needed space bad. Wonder why the new Polaris Victory motorcycle looks so good? It`s been "Nessed". Arlen is a Victory dealer. Look for some cool bikes to come out with that engine featured. DK.
