I am looking for info on the billet adapter to allow remoting the stock oil filter. I had talked with someone I thought who was a TDR member and made these. I have searched TDR and Googled everything I can think of. Anyone know who the TDR member is that may make these?

I presently have an amsoil adapter and it loosens up after awhile and starts to leak I am hoping the billet item will solve my problem.

Thanks, Jeff

You're talking about a remote oil filter adapter, right? What's the Amsoil one made of? What's the part number?

Ryan

The amsoil one is a casted piece of junk. You need John Strenkowski's billet unit, he a TDR member I forget his handle.

maybe CPFF

John are you still out there? I will try some other searches now that I have a possible handle.

Thanks p-Bar

Ryan,

I already have the cast amsoil part and I am looking for the billet item John makes.

I also believe the Amsoil cast piece is to flimsy for the rattling of the diesel. I have used it on cars with very good results but have not been happy with it on the diesel. Mine loosens up over time and starts to leak. How do you have your dual setup connected? Where did you end up mounting your dual setup? I also use the dual setup and have it mounted under the bed on the passenger side of the truck. I have been very happy with the bypass setup and have used this same model on other vehicles.

Old Man has it. Johns unit can include the mount off of the exhaust manifold. Very nice set up. PM me with your email and I will send you pics

I know, I was just wondering what the Amsoil was made of. It's cast what? Aluminum?

Ryan,

I believe it is cast aluminum. The main problem is it just spins on to tighten and loosens up over time. Johns billet adapter is a tw piece design and it tightens on with a wrench and uses o-rings between both pieces to seal it up tight. Once you put one in your hand you can tell the difference. John & Virginia were both very nice to talk with on the phone and had my part to me in a day. You can check them out at www.TriCountyMachine.com I put the adapter on this weekend and I have no doubts that my leak is gone as this is a Quality Part!!

Thanks to John and Virginia for a Great Part! and p-bar for getting me the contact info...
