I was lookin though the readers rigs today "some very nice trucks in there" and I noticed one guy had a billet shift knob, with the Cummin "C" on it, and he said a member made it for him, and I was woundering if any of you know who made it, and if I could get one still. I'm sick of my numbers rotating around and around LOL Thanks for any of the help you can provide me with, and as always "6 in a line, power all the time!"

It would be viewed under the name of "Power Pics" in reader rigs I just hope I can get one, I just looked at it again... How cool!!!:D

Can't help you on the billet knob, but I have made some wooden knobs recently. I have a couple of people using them in hopes to get some honest feedback. I would like to see how it holds up to your temps. up there. If you would be interested drop me a line and I will let you try one out.

OK guys, I was talking to my brother at thanksgiving and he pulls out of his bag a complete aluminum billet shifter w/ knob for Honda and Toyota that he has made a (short-throw) arm for the import drag racing guys. I asked if he could do a billet knob for my CTD and Jeep. He said if he knew the thread and diameter size he could CAD the drawing and see about a cost. The knob and shifter he had was SWEET! He is a gunsmith and also kicks around on the side with all kinds of lathes(sp) making all kind of cool stuff. I will find out from him on Christmas and see what he can do for us. He is in Atlanta and will be in Tn for the holidays.

Would anyone be interested??

Knob

I would like to have a different shift knob. A t-handle with a button on the left side for my e-brake :D . Sam

DAWG-1, go to http://store.summitracing.com/ and click on the online catalog , go to transmission catagory to shifters/knobs and look at B&M T-handle #BBM-80658 or BBM-80659. I think it is what you want for the brake function or you could use it for air horns or anything. I saw this as an option for my jeep as a horn button. One T-handle is billet aluminum and the other is chrome aluminum. Cool eh:cool:

They have several different shifter knobs for about anything. They all have interchangable inserts for thread size and a lock nut.

Billet shift knob Update

Sorry about not getting back to everyone and leaving you hanging on the Billet shift Knob, my computer has been down and my brother out of state for a while. Here are the details so far that I have worked out.

My brother can do the shifter knobs in Aluminum, stainless 304, Black oxide matte finish.

He can do one for the transmission and/or tranfer case. He can do a "C" on the shifter for cummins and all the 4H,4L,N,2H on the tranfer case knob also. I need to know how many would be interested so He can get a cost on the materials. Please email me at -- email address removed -- with your request and I will compile them and get them to my brother. I am faxing him a rough drawing today today to let him know the size, lettering, etc.

Again, sorry for not getting back to anyone(especially Red Rattler).

He will do one in aluminum and I will try to post a pic once I find out how many want the knobs.

i hate the stock knob!

I hate having to climb around, sometimes upside down, to figure out which gear I'm in!:{ Oo. :{ Oo.

I think my chiroprator is in cahoots with DC to develop newer and better knob inserts... maybe they can get them to spin really really fast so my neck will hurt as well as my back!:-laf

Can't wait for the pics, always lookin' to upgrade the little annoying stuff! Thanks Inline6 for the legwork.
