Does any one have any comments about Geno's Billeted Grilles for the 04 Ram good or bad. I am planning on purchasing a set. Also, do you recommend Upper and Lower inserts. Thanks.

Well, I got some for mine. I bought them from 4 Wheel Parts, and they are from Precision Grill. I think they are junk. I plan on getting some more. The fit of these is just terrible. I had to bend the tabs until I could finally get them to screw in. And they still don't fit flush behind the grill. I'm not impressed. The lowers were another story. I would like info about the ones Genos sell, as well. I want to get a better set.

I put Stull brand grilles in my wife's 03 truck. I also put in the Stull billet bumper insert. I am very happy with all of them. I got mine from Summit for cheap. They did require me to slightly clearance the edge of a bracket on the A/C condensor, because these grilles aren't actually specified to fit diesel trucks. It's not a big deal, and only took a few minutes of careful die grinder work and frequent clearance checking.

I have pictures of them in my picture gallery.

I think I did about as thorough a search for a grill as anyone. And I still bought the wrong one. I bought a Stull 8210 from 4 wheel parts. Found out most of their grills are a PITA to install. 4 Wheel parts charges 2 hours labor for all except the 8210. So I bought it and found out it is a bolt over the black honeycomb. Also they sent me a grill that had been returned. Some of the threads were stripped and two of the bolts had been broken off!

Like a fool, I fixed it up and installed it, then had to grind the bolts off as they were too long. 2 hours installation for me easy!!

I really wish, I would have called Geno and asked if that grill was a boltover. If not, buy it. If it replaces the present grill, if you don't have to cut to fit, it is probably OK.
