You have done exactly what I've been considering. I currently have just the leveling kit... . satisfied with the lift but do not like the axle being located a little rearward. Was interested in the SJ 2. 5's and new longer locating bars. Do you have these? Thanks in advance

I wish I could find someone who has run the Rauncho 5000 (or 9000) and swapped to Bilsteins, or vice versa, for an opinion. I've had the Rauncho 5K for 4 or 5 years and like the adjustability, but the expansion joints on the very worn section of concrete freeway around town just pounds my kidneys to mush. They seem to set up a perfect harmonic for my long bed at 55 to 75 mph (posted speed is 65). At 80+ it all smooths out, but Smokey frowns on it.

I switched to the blue and yellow Bilsteins 1 year ago. I also added Riderite airbags. So far I really like the switch. I believe the Bilsteins are a stiffer shock.

My truck is heavy. I have a deck on the back of my truck and I tend to take a lot with me so my truck is close to 10000 lbs with fuel. When I had the Ranchos the truck would just about sit on the overloads. Now it sits about 2 inches off with no air in the Riderites.

The adjustablity of the Riderites more then makes up for adjustable Ranchos. I would say that the Bilsteins are stiffer then the Ranchos on the highest setting. The ride is firm but does not bounce or rebound which would happen with the Ranchos. I expect my truck to haul heavy loads which it does very well. The empty ride is good maybe because my empty weight is more then most 3/4 and 1 tons.

Put me in the satisfied category.
